I referred to him as my boyfriend today, this is going to take a while.

As night reaches the edge of the Valley of Reason,
And those dark storm clouds unfold and unravel and churn,
Black on black,
Do the stars still exist beyond them?
Do a thousand tiny specks still glitter against that inky canvas?
Look closer and you'll see torches blazing.
Once this meadow was lit with all the fire of the sun.
An unyielding radiance,
Misleadingly invincible.
But that flame has died.
And now, behind black clouds,
Have the embers of that fire been embedded in the night sky?
And if those embers die too,
Will reason ever be restored?
Or will I forever be trapped in this unforgiving state of constant panic, constant torment, constant regret?
Will those clouds ever relent their oppressive force?
Or is reason doomed to die with love?

The Adventures of James Harris

So, having posted nothing so far, and having no time to make something new to post, I decided to show off some old work. Nothing that I find particularly skillful but something I am proud of more for concept.
The three paintings are based on apocalyptic themes found in the collection of short stories, "The Lottery" by Shirley Jackson. My English teacher once said he would buy them. He never did. Here they are anyway.

Annoying Memories of Tripods.

So I've decided that my obsession with reading blogs should probably translate into actually creating a blog myself. Who can deny the power of inevitability, right? Truth is, I've made blogs before. I've made entire websites and created accounts of various on-line art databases. I just don't keep up with them. So, if you, for some unimaginable reason, become interested in my blog, please don't be sad if I never come back. Because you can't deny the inevitability of it. I will post whatever place I've moved onto next, becuase I appear to have the attention span of a mechanical goldfish.
